1/14/15

Today we learned more about North Korea. We went over the North Korea Slideshow and reviewed many things about Kim-Jong Un. We were mainly studying for Friday because that is when our test on North Korea is.

tuesday

Today we watched the video. We finished the video up and it was very interesting. I enjoyed watching the video because I learned lots of things. I found it weird how everyone that could see after they were blind worshipped Kim Jong Un and not the guy who did the procedure. It was very weird to me. But overall the movie was very interesting and had lots of new information I have learned.

Today we watched the movie about North Korea again. It is a very interesting and cool video, I cant wait to finish it.

Wed JAN 7th

Today in class we watched a movie about North Korea.  The movie was about a doctor who did surgery to fix cataracts, and he went over to North Korea. The woman who was making the documentary said that she was a part of making a documentary on the doctor's experience.

North Korea & South Korea

• currently headed by Kim Jong-Un
• Kim Jong-Un didn't seem to like The Interview
• Oppressive Government
• state-run socialist government that many consider to be a Stalinist Dictatorship
• official name: Democratic peoples republic of Korea (DPRK)
• notice that they say, "Korea", not North Korea- they claim to be the legitimate rulers of the entire peninsula
• isolated by the government
• also somewhat isolated geographically
• after all, they are on a peninsula
• Pyongyang is the capital
• located at 39 degrees north (latitude)

December 12th

Today in class we went over all of our previous tests. We discussed every answer. Mr. Schick told our whole class that we could redo our test if we got less than a 70. I think I'm going to redo my first test. The one i'm going to redo I didn't do good at all on that.

December 10th

Today in human geo, we had a test. The test was very difficult because you had to know the answers to the questions on the movie, "Slumdog Millionaire". I don't know how I did, but it was hard.
